Well that was a very busy week back. The kids are working hard as usual. Here is the news for this week. Short and sweet.
Fifths are finishing a Geo Town project in class. We will begin Chapter 7 in the math book next week. They are reading about Paul Revere in the reading series and working on a persuasive essay. They are studying colonization in Social Studies for the next two weeks.
Fourths are woking on Chapter 9, long division. They are doing great! It's a long chapter though, and won't be tested on it until Wednesday of next week. They are working on their "Picture Book Reports" at home. They finished a summary last week, and will work on a Response to Literature for the next two weeks.
The whole group has been working on questioning skills, facutal, valuative, and inferential. We will continue practicing those skills for the next week and then move on to scholarliness and convergent and divergent thinking.
The homework is updated, but the fourth grade spelling list will be put up on Tuesday.
