Parents,
It's hard to believe but it is now, the third and final trimester. Wow. Report cards and conferences are coming soon. Conferences are short, so have your questions reading when you come in. Also, I'm always willing to talk with you when you need it.
The speeches were passed out on Wednesday. The fourth graders are doing an informational speech and the fifth graders are doing a persuasive. On Feb. 22 (this coming Tuesday) I will have the students give me their topic choices. All, must be approved by me. The rough draft (an outline for the rough draft has been passed out) is due the next week on the 1st. Then the final draft, with the presentation, is due on the 7th for the fourth graders and the 14th for the fifths.
The fifth graders have a science test on Monday, on chapter 2, and a math test for chapter 8 on Firday as well as a states test "Southeastern states" on Friday.
The fourth graders have no major tests next week. They are working on Chapter 11 in math (Geometry) and have a test scheduled for Tuesday, March 4th.
I'll get more information to you as time goes on. Feel free to contact me about any questions you may have.
Take care,
Mrs. McElroy
