Here we go. Week 16!

12/5/2010

That was a very busy week, last week.  Lots of great work from the kids.  This week will continue much the same.

The fifths will continue with Chapter 6 in their math book with a test scheduled for next Thursday the 16th.  The fourths will continuye with Chapter 8 in math and have their test scheduled for this Friday, the 10th.

In writing the fourths will finish up their narratives (not on my access) and then continue writing on My Access.  The fifths will be writng a persuasive essay, something specific to their grade level.  This particular writing, will be done in class and not on My Access.

The fourth graders will continue reading the story "A Very Important Day" and will complete a frame this week in class, while the fifth graders do the same thing with "Mae Jameson".  The fifths will also finish up Lesson 8 of their Wordly Wise and take that test on Friday.

Also, for fifths, in Science, they have finished their group posters and will share them on Monday.  Tuesday they will prepare for the test which I plan to give on Wednesday.

That's it.  The kids are working very hard.  I am really impressed with how well they are working to keep track of their assignments and get them all in.  Wonderful.  Organization is a skill that takes time to develop.  I can see how hard they are working and I am very proud of them.
